About the Repository

The focus of the research culture at Birmingham Newman University Repository is on promoting innovative and inter-disciplinary research which makes a difference to the world and contributes to the common good. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework Newman entered a significant proportion of its academic staff, with much of the work submitted rated as Internationally Excellent, and three areas classified as World-Leading. Research at Newman is integral to the life of the University for staff and students. Experienced and early career researchers work together in collaborative teams and Research Centres to develop and promote new knowledge and understanding in their subject. Lecturers are actively involved at the forefront of their discipline, bringing the benefits of the latest research and practice into their teaching.
